“Krithethu Naarasimha Bhoo.. Trethaayaam Raghu Nandanaha.. Dwaapare Vaasu Devascha.. Kalau Venkata Nayakaha”

The above Sloka was recited by Lord Brahma – the Hindu God of Creation – at the time of lighting the two eternal lamps in front of Sri Varu, several centuries ago, in the Garbha Griha of the Tirumala Temple.

This Sloka is emphatically telling us that, “The one who is born as Sri Lakshmi Narasimha in Kritha yuga; as Raghunandana Sri Ram in Tretha yuga; and as Vaasudeva Sri Krishna in Dwapara Yuga; is again born as Sri Venkateswara in Kali yuga”.

Through this Sloka, Lord Brahma is also telling us that, “Lord Sri Venkateswara is not only the ruling God of this Kali Yuga but is also the sole savior of our humanity and this universe.. Only He can solve all our human problems and guide us through this ocean of the worldly sins.”.

“Naaham Vasaami Vaikunte.. Na Yogi Hridayena Cha.. Madh Bhakthaa Yathra Gaayanthi.. Tathra Thishtaami Naaradaa”

That was what Lord Venkateswara, through the above Sloka, had told Celestial Sage, Narada, before transforming Himself into the form of a stone idol in the Tirumala Temple..

Meaning : “Narada.. I shall not permanently reside in the Vaikunta nor shall I reside forever in the hearts of the holy sages.. However, I shall always remain seated in the heart of every devotee who is constantly chanting my name”. (Source: Tirumalesa.com)

Lord Venkateshwara Pooja
Every Saturday at 9.30 am

As our regular devotees might have noticed Lord Venkateshwara has entered the Sringeri Sharadamba Temple. (Click here to watch the pictures)

Our Shastras, Puranas, Tirupathi Sthala Mahatmyams and Alwar hymns unequivocally declare that, in the Kaliyug, one can attain mukti, by worshipping Sri Venkateswara. Sri Venkateswara is described as the great bestower of boons. There are several legends associated with the manifestation of the Lord at Tirupati.

At SVBF Canada we are earnestly working on establishing a Venkateswara Sannidhi. In the mean time as an anticipatory prayer and to energize ourselves and our temple Special Venkateswara Pooja will be conducted at SVBF on all Saturdays. Venkateswara Suprabhatam, Vishnu Sahasranamam, Lakshmi Ashtothara, Sudarshanashtakam etc. will be chanted starting 9.30 am and will conclude with Shodashopachara Pooja. Maha Prasadam will be served after the Pooja.
