Government Programs for Individuals and small businesses during this pandemic

 

After the successful Webinar and on popular demand we conducted a second seminar on Government Schemes for Individuals and small business. The panel of speakers were experts from the financial sector who provided very valuable information to the participants. Thanks to Sri. Sadanand Mankikar and his team comprising of Sri Pramod Udiaver, Sri Karthik Kulkarni for putting together a great presentation over the intenet using the Webinar Technology. The Webinar was well attended and well received by close to 200 participants. The feedback received for the panelisits was overwhelming with many requests to repeat the webinar.

 

The speakers and the topics on which they enlightened the participants were :

 

Government Program for Individuals by Michael Betz
Mr. Michael Belz, a former Leader of the Deloitte Private Tax Group, is a tax partner in the Private Company Services group of Deloitte. He has over 30 years of experience in public accounting, of which over 25 have been in tax. Michael acts as the business advisor for his private company clients, assisting them with all facets of their business including mergers and acquisitions, expansions, real estate purchases and divestitures and transaction due diligence. c

 

Government Program for Small Businesses by Uday Kulkarni
Uday Kulkarni started his career with Godrej & Boyce in India & possesses engineering and MBA degree from MSU Baroda & Univ of Bombay. He worked with three fortune 100 companies in India, UAE & Oman in several positions in Sales, Marketing & Brand management before immigrating to Canada in 2001, when he joined GE Capital and later joined CIBC in 2005 where he has worked in various positions in Retail, Commercial and Business banking as Fin Advisor and Manager Commercial banking. He currently holds the position of a Senior Manager, Business Banking and leads a team of Business Advisors for Brampton & Georgetown districts. He has experience in Business Banking for more than 14 years.

 

Panelist's Introductory Statement by Paul Bains
Paul Bains, MBA CFP CIM ICD.D, Managing Partner & Portfolio Manager Cadogan Park Advisors Inc. He is a portfolio manager at a boutique investment firm based in Vancouver. He services clients primarily in Canada and the US. He has over 25 years of investment management experience and specializes in Cross border investments for those clients located in one country and with assets domiciled in another country. I will be focusing his discussion on the current state of the financial markets and where we go from here.

 

Panelist's Introductory Statement by Anakan Rasananthan
Anakan Rasananthan is a CPA, CGA is the owner and founder of Anakan.R CPA Professional Corporation. He provides tax services to small businesses and individuals. He will Provide a high level summary of Covid-19 tax benefits for small businesses and individuals.
