“Nahi jnanena sadrisham – there is nothing equal to knowledge” is the pristine words of Bhagavan. It is well understood by realised souls that by acquiring the true knowledge one has acquired everything in this world. That seamless knowledge is graced by none other than Adimaunaguru Sri Dakshinamurti, the incarnation of Lord Shiva. The purpose of this incarnation is to impart the knowledge of Self (Atmavidya), which is the source and base for all other knowledge, to the human kind.

Sri Dakshinamurti invoked Shakti and made Her as part of Himself, for the purpose of imparting the knowledge which is complete. Thus He is the incarnation with equal and harmonious aspects of both male and female. This incarnation is described in detail in Sutasamhita of Skandapurana. Sri Shankaracharya has described Sri Dakshinamurti with such lucidity and highly inspiring way that one who studies his compositions is bound to dive much deeper into finding the TRUE SELF, for which Sri Dakshinamurti guides with utmost compassion.

Dr. Alakananda, who is passionate about sharing the joy of studying about Sri Dakshinamurti would be conducting classes on Mondays at 7.00 p.m from May 17, 2021. She would be teaching the meaning with philosophical insights and to recite in tune - Dhyanashloka, Dakshinamurti varnamala stotra, Sridakshinamurtyashtakam.
